Account owners and admins can limit access to the Zoom Sessions license to users in their account when the Zoom Workplace bundle is assigned.

When admins enable access to the Zoom Sessions license within the Zoom Workplace bundle, users with a Zoom Workplace license automatically have access to Zoom Sessions.

When an admin disables access to Zoom Sessions within the Zoom Workplace bundle, users with the Zoom Workplace license cannot use Zoom Sessions. After 7 days, their Zoom Sessions hub assets will be deleted and cannot be recovered. Individual Zoom Sessions licenses assigned to users are not changed with this setting.

Notes:

• Users who have Zoom Sessions and Zoom Webinars assigned as add-ons will not be impacted by this setting.
• Account owners and admins must have the Zoom Workplace bundle that includes Zoom Sessions, or else this feature will not be available in their account settings.
• When the Allow users to use Zoom Sessions with their Zoom Workplace license setting is disabled, users cannot view Zoom Sessions in their profile's Account details. However, a Zoom Workplace user who has been removed access to Zoom Sessions still has access to Zoom Webinars as part of the Zoom Sessions license.

Prerequisites for enabling Zoom Sessions with the Zoom Workplace license

• Account owner or admin privileges
• Zoom Workplace license with Zoom Sessions included

Limitations for Zoom Sessions with the Zoom Workplace license

Zoom Sessions with the Zoom Workplace license has the following limitations:

• To use the Zoom Sessions with the Zoom Workplace license setting, you must enable Allow users to use Zoom Webinars with their Zoom Workplace license.
• When you disable Allow users to use Zoom Webinars with their Zoom Workplace license, the Allow users to use Zoom Sessions with their Zoom Workplace license setting will also be disabled. Users cannot use Zoom Sessions with the Zoom Workplace license. After 7 days, their Zoom Sessions hub assets will be deleted and can't be recovered.
• When both the Allow users to use Zoom Webinars with their Zoom Workplace license and Allow users to use Zoom Sessions with their Zoom Workplace license settings are enabled, and you disable only Allow users to use Zoom Sessions with their Zoom Workplace license, users cannot use Zoom Sessions included in the Zoom Workplace license. After 7 days, their Zoom Sessions hub assets will be deleted and cannot be recovered.
  Note: Individual Zoom Sessions licenses assigned to users aren’t changed with this setting.
• When Allow users to use Zoom Webinars with their Zoom Workplace license is enabled, you can disable Allow users to use Zoom Sessions with their Zoom Workplace license, and the Zoom Webinars included with Zoom Workplace setting will still be enabled. However, you cannot enable only the Allow users to use Zoom Sessions with their Zoom Workplace license setting without enabling the Allow users to use Zoom Webinars with their Zoom Workplace license setting.

How to enable Zoom Sessions with the Zoom Workplace license

Account

To enable or disable Allow users to use Zoom Sessions with their Zoom Workplace license for all users in the account:

1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Settings.
3. Click the Zoom Events tab.
4. Click the Allow users to use Zoom Sessions with their Zoom Workplace license toggle to turn it on or turn it off.
5. If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
6. (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing this setting, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

Group

To enable or disable Allow users to use Zoom Sessions with their Zoom Workplace license for a group of users:

1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit groups.
2. In the navigation menu, click User Management then Groups.
3. Click the applicable group name from the list.
4. Click the Zoom Events tab.
5. Click the Allow users to use Zoom Sessions with their Zoom Workplace license toggle to turn it on or turn it off .
6. If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
   Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and needs to be changed at that level.
7. (Optional) To prevent all users in the group from changing this setting, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
