Interacting with Zoom Events resources


Zoom Events hosts can create resource links, upload documents, and display speaker information ahead of the Zoom Events webinar, meeting, or simulive session. These can be previewed before (and during) the session and launched for attendees to interact with or download during the session.

Note: Meeting resources are only available with client version 5.16.5 or later.

How to interact with Zoom Events resources

View resource links as an attendee

  1. Join a session in Zoom Events.
    When a resource link is launched by the host in a session, Zoom Events attendees will see a small notification with the resource headline above the Resources button in their control toolbar.
  2. Click the notification or the Resources option on the meeting controls bar.
    This will open the Resources panel and display all active resource links at the bottom of the panel. The resources' image, headline, description, and button will be displayed.
  3. Click a resource link's button.
    This will open a window, informing you that a link outside of Zoom is opening, with a 5-second countdown.
  4. Select from the following actions:
    • Click Ok to open the link immediately in your default browser.
    • Click Cancel will return to the session.

View resource documents as an attendee

  1. Join a session in Zoom Events.
  2. When a resource document is launched by the host, click the Resources option on the meeting controls bar.
    The Resources panel will open and display all active resource documents at the top of the panel.
  3. Click any resource document.
    A local copy of the file will download and open for you with your default application for that file type.

View speaker profiles as an attendee

  1. Join a session in Zoom Events.
  2. When speaker details are launched by the host, click the Resources option on the meeting controls bar.
    The Resources panel will open and display all active speaker profiles at the top of the panel.
  3. Click a speaker profile.
    The speaker's details will appear.
  4. (Optional) Click the links (company website or social links) to view more about the speaker.
    This will open a window, informing you that a link outside of Zoom is opening, with a 5-second countdown.
    1. Select from the following actions:
      • Click Ok to open the link immediately in your default browser.
      • Click Cancel will return to the session.
