  When sharing a screen during a meeting or webinar, users can optimize screen sharing for the best full-screen video experience. This feature, known as Optimize for video clip, has been renamed to Optimize for video sharing across the Zoom Workplace app, Web app, and Web Portal settings to provide clearer understanding of its function.

  • Unified contact requests and messaging experience on mobile - Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Users can view contact requests within the Contacts tab on mobile. They can also view an optional message with a received contact request under the contact request section within the Contacts tab. All previous contact request functionalities are retained and seamlessly integrated into the Contacts tab for an easier and more intuitive user experience.
        
• Meeting/webinar features
  
  • Meetings and Webinars capacity alert and live streaming guidance for hosts  - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Hosts that hold a license for the largest meeting or webinar attendee capacity, are made aware when a meeting or webinar is reaching capacity, so they can take measures and start live streaming to handle the overflow. When meeting or webinar capacity reaches 80%, hosts receive a prompt to start a live stream. At 100% capacity, another prompt appears, notifying hosts that the meeting or webinar is full and suggesting they start a live stream to accommodate additional attendees. These prompts only appear if the host is allowed to start a live stream and had not started one for the ongoing meeting or webinar. This feature ensures all attendees can participate in meetings and webinars, even if the capacity is exceeded.
  • Enable or disable Watch Livestream link for overflow attendees  - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Hosts can enable or disable the Watch Livestream link on the overflow dialog for attendees during a meeting or a webinar session. When a meeting or webinar reaches capacity, attendees have the option to watch the livestream if the host has enabled this setting. The default setting will be changed to enabled, allowing overflow attendees to automatically access the livestream. Hosts can disable this option if they prefer not to redirect attendees to the livestream. This feature provides hosts greater control over the overflow experience for attendees, ensuring they can participate in the meeting or webinar presentation. This feature will not be immediately available, as it is dependent on a backend release, currently scheduled for September 8, 2024.

  • Ability to automatically record to computer - Windows, macOS, Linux
    If enabled by their account owners and admins, certain meeting participants and those with specific domains can record to their computers without needing the host to grant these access during the meeting. Previously, Zoom only allows hosts to grant permission for users to record, requiring host intervention before a recording can start.
  • Ability to pre-configure upcoming breakout rooms during active breakout sessions  - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Hosts can pre-configure the next breakout room setup, including assigning participants to specific rooms, while the current breakout session is active. This feature enables a smoother transition between breakout sessions, as the next configuration is ready to launch immediately after the current session ends. Hosts can efficiently manage and prepare for subsequent breakout discussions, enhancing the overall meeting productivity.
  • Hosts ability to view presence and contact card for unattended meeting participants  - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Hosts can hover over attendees who have not joined a meeting to view their contact card and presence status. This allows hosts to quickly determine if an unattended participant is available or busy, enabling them to make an informed decision about using the Ask to Join button to call the participant into the meeting.
        
• Team Chat features
  • External labeling in Team Chat - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Improved visual labeling will make it easier for users to identify channels and group chats that include external participants. These chats and channels will display an "external" tag at the top of the chat window, and the visual indicator in the compose box will be more prominent.
  • Streamline user experience with admin authorized apps in Team Chat  - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Users can view and interact with admin authorized chat apps without being prompted for permissions. Users can see and click on shortcuts, enter slash commands, or open bot channels for these apps, the app onboarding flow is triggered automatically. After the admin authorized the app, users don't have to review permissions requested by the app again.
  • Enhancements to search and add members in chats and channels  - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Users can easily add new members to a chat or channel by searching for them in the 'view member' modal. The search results display both existing members and non-members, with an 'add' button next to non-members. Users can click the add button to add a non-member to the channel. The added member then appears in the member list. This streamlines the process of building effective communication channels and fostering collaboration within the team.
  • Enhancements to trending GIFs display on mobile - Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Users can access daily trending GIFs when opening the GIF panel in Team Chat. The GIF panel features an updated layout with a waterfall style grid that adapts to light and dark mode.
  • Pin Zoom Docs to Team Chat channel tabs - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Team Chat users can now pin existing or create new Zoom Docs directly within a channel tab. Once pinned, the doc is accessible to all channel members and can be viewed in split view mode alongside the chat. Pinning a doc follows the same user permissions as adding channel tabs. This feature enhances productivity by enabling teams to seamlessly reference and work on documents together within their chat conversations.
  • Ability to hyperlink URLs in compose box - Windows, macOS
    Users can now hyperlink URLs seamlessly while composing messages in Team Chat. Pasted and typed URLs are automatically hyperlinked in the compose box, eliminating the need to manually format links after sending the message. Additionally, users have the option to customize the hyperlinked text through the hyperlink modal, which pre-populates the "text to display" field with the original URL for convenience. This enhancement enhances the messaging experience by simplifying link sharing and formatting.
        
• Mail and Calendar features
  • Auto-reply drafting for email conversations - Windows, macOS
    Using the Email Compose with AI Companion, users can have email replies automatically drafted for them. When replying to an email, the AI Companion analyzes the full context of the previous messages in the conversation and generates draft reply. This allows users to quickly review and send responses without manually providing context. The auto-reply drafting enhances productivity by saving time spent composing replies.
  • Add focus time to scheduling interface - Windows, macOS, Linux
    When scheduling an event, users can select Focus time as the event type.
  • Improvements to mail client user interface and experience - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Users can drag and drop labels in the label list and search for specific labels. They can also use both vertical and horizontal split views for their preferred inbox layout. The schedule send button has been merged into the send button with a dropdown menu, aligning with other mainstream mail clients and cleaning up the bottom toolbar.
        
• Phone features
  • Enhancements to caching recordings and voicemails - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Zoom Phone (ZP) account owners and admins receive notifications and alerts when recordings or voicemails cannot be saved due to issues like call switch failover, recording server failure, or connectivity problems. Notifications are delivered through the Alerts and Notifications framework, webhooks, and Zoom applications (Zoom Web App, Zoom Phone Appliances, and the Zoom app). For regular recordings, users are prompted that the recording has stopped. Callers trying to leave a voicemail hear a message that the service is temporarily unavailable. If the customer does not opt-in to use Zoom's encryption key, alerts related to encryption key issues are also provided. This feature ensures better visibility and user experience when recording or voicemail services encounter problems.
  • Enhancements to voicemail greeting management for common area phones  - Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Users can dial into the voicemail system by pressing the voicemail button or dialing *86 on common area phones. They can then select option 2 from the telephony user interface (TUI) to record or update the voicemail greeting. This allows users to manage voicemail greetings without requiring administrator assistance. The user's customized voicemail greeting uploaded through the IVR menu will be the voicemail greeting for only business hours (not for closed hours and holidays).
  • Enhancements to initiating two leg server side calls for landlines  - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Users can initiate a two-way call to connect to a landline number when they have a poor WiFi connection. They can specify a landline number as a Call Me On number and receive a verification call from Zoom. During the verification call, users are prompted to press 1 to confirm the number. If not confirmed, Zoom informs users that the number failed verification. After confirmation, Zoom connects the first call to the user's landline and the second call to the destination number. This feature helps users with poor WiFi make outbound calls. This feature must be enabled by Zoom.
        
• Clips features
  • Pop out clips playback page - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Users have the option to pop out the clips playback page as a separate window, enabling them to watch a clip while simultaneously working within the Zoom app. This functionality allows for multiple pop-out playback pages to be open concurrently allowing users to multitask and have a dedicated space for clip viewing.
  • Customizable branding for Zoom Clips playback page - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Zoom Clips users can brand the web playback page and embedded video player with their own company logo and color scheme. The Zoom branding will be removed from the video page and embedded player, allowing users to fully customize the branding. This feature provides users with the ability to align the playback experience with their organization's branding.
  • Enhancements to clips view statistics - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Clip owners can now see statistics of their clips without counting their own visits or views. The Plays statistic has been added, which corresponds to the number of times users click the play button. This provides clip owners with more accurate insights into how their clips are being consumed by others.
        
• Contact Center features
  • Increased maximum skill proficiency level - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Admins can now set the maximum skill proficiency level up to 25 for any Skill Category during creating or editing. Previously, the maximum proficiency level was limited to 5. This enhancement can better accommodate customers who require more granular proficiency levels. The higher proficiency levels enable more precise skill-based routing to connect customers with agents who have the appropriate expertise.
  • Audio settings for waiting room videos - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Account owners and admins can enable or disable audio for videos played in the waiting room experience. If enabled, the audio plays automatically when the video starts for consumers on web, mobile, or kiosk devices. However, consumers have the ability to mute the audio if preferred.
  • Synchronized work session tracking for agents across all platforms  - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Agents can end their work sessions from any platform, including the desktop app, web client, or embedded client, with the system automatically syncing the work session status across all platforms the agent is logged into. Admins can see the client details used for the last sign-in or sign-out in the usage reports. This ensures accurate tracking of work hours, especially for customers with concurrent licenses.
  • Team filter on the Closed Engagements page - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Admins can use a Team filter on the Closed Engagements page in the desktop app to focus on specific teams and address performance issues with certain supervisors. Supervisors can see all their agents' performance in one place, without switching between different queues. The Team filter feature also adds the Teams filter and field to Wallboard tiles like Real-time Agent Performance, Recent Agent Performance, Agent Availability, Agent Ready, and Agent Occupied, making it easier for admins and supervisors to monitor team performance.
  • Consumer engagement history across channels - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Agents and supervisors can view the engagement history for consumers for multiple channels, including email, authenticated messaging, and social media. The engagement history is linked based on the consumer's unique identifier, such as email address, authenticated consumer ID, or social media ID. Agents and supervisors can access key details like engagement duration, events, assigned agent, notes, and conversation summary. This allows agents to better understand the consumer's journey and provide personalized service.
  • Add transfer note to be displayed in notification to transferee  - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Agents can add an optional note when transferring an engagement to another agent. The note provides relevant context to the receiving agent, allowing them to better understand the situation and assist the consumer more effectively. Agents can cancel the note before completing the transfer. The note has a maximum length of 30 words or 114 characters and is included in the inbound notification to the receiving agent.
  • Enable sending MMS/image as first outbound message - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Users with permission to send outbound SMS/MMS can now send MMS messages, including images, as their first outbound message. Previously, only text messages could be sent as the first outbound message. This feature enables users to share visual content like holiday greetings or other images from the initial outbound message.

Users can trigger manual presence changes through their Zoom app. Actions such as making a call or joining a Zoom Meeting will also change a user's presence which will then be pushed and reflected in Microsoft 365 with this capability enabled.

    To enhance presenter control over shared content directly from the meeting window, a 3-dot menu will be added to each shared tab. This update will ensure that presenters can access features such as Pause Share, Stop Share, and Share Computer Sound uniformly across all share types, significantly enhancing their ability to manage shared content during meetings.

    Zoom is simplifying the contact invitation process, making it easier for users to connect with external users directly during meetings. This enhancement includes the ability to send contact requests and add a brief message while in the meeting.
  • Persistent AI Companion toolbar access in meetings without hosts - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Meeting participants will see the AI Companion buttons when a user joins a meeting without a host present. Previously, meetings enabled with AI Companion will not display the AI Companion features if the host is not yet present in the meeting.
  • Support for personalized audio isolation - iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Personalized audio isolation mode is now available on iOS devices (iPhone SE 2nd gen, iPhone SE 3rd gen, and iPhone 11 and later). Personalized audio isolation enhances the mobile meeting experience by enabling clear conversations even in loud environments with background talkers. Users will be able to enable or disable this mode from the Audio section in Settings on their Zoom mobile app.
  • Zoom AI Companion universal toggle for easy enablement - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Account owners and admins of Zoom Workplace Pro accounts can enable several AI Companion features with a single click within the Workplace app and Web Portal settings. The single AI Companion admin setting will be available within the Workplace desktop app settings and Zoom Web Portal account settings. Users in the account still will be in control of when AI Companion gets used.
  • Support for Apple Watch - iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Zoom Meetings can be integrated with Apple Watch, allowing users to manage meetings directly from their wrist. Users can join, mute, end Zoom Meetings, and see upcoming meetings.
  • Enhancements to 3D object sharing- visionOS
    With the enhanced 3D object sharing, users can use the laser pointer function and syncing object transformations.
  • Redesigned icons in the Meetings toolbar - visionOS
    The Meetings toolbar icons have been redesigned for a more intuitive and efficient experience.
  • Support for AI Companion in Meetings - visionOS
    Meeting hosts can now start AI Companion during a Meeting on Vision Pro.
        
• Webinar features
  • Warning when ending a Simulive webinar - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Zoom addresses the issue of hosts unintentionally ending Simulive webinars by introducing a confirmation step in the desktop, mobile, and browser apps. A host doesn't have to be present in the webinar. It is important they use the 'Leave" option when they exit the webinar, because if they end it, no attendees can continue to watch the simulive.
        
• Team Chat features
  • Pin Zoom Notes to Team Chat channels - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Team Chat users can pin Zoom Notes to channel tabs for quick reference. Users with the required permissions can select an existing Note or create a new one to pin to the channel tab. Once pinned, the Note is visible to all channel members. Pinned Notes support split view functionality like whiteboards and channel tabs. This feature centralizes collaboration assets within Team Chat, reducing the need to switch between multiple tools.
  • Enhancements to keyboard shortcuts - Windows, macOS
    Users can use the Cmd/Ctrl + K keyboard shortcut to insert hyperlinks in chat messages. If no text or URL is selected, the modal opens for users to enter text and a URL. If the user has text selected and a URL copied, the text will be automatically hyperlinked. Users can click on hyperlinked text to edit or remove the hyperlink. This provides a more efficient way to insert hyperlinks in chat messages.
  • Enhanced trending GIF display in Zoom Team Chat - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Users can view daily trending GIFs by default when opening the GIF panel in Zoom Team Chat. The layout has an improved waterfall style grid that supports light and dark mode. This provides users with a more engaging and visually appealing GIF integration experience.
  • Add Jump to message option in the Resources tab - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Users can click on a Jump to message option for any asset listed in the Resources tab to quickly view the original message and its context. This option navigates users directly to the chat stream at the point where the asset was originally shared, with the original message highlighted for easy identification. This enhancement improves the overall user experience by facilitating better understanding and collaboration within the Zoom Team Chat environment.

    Users can seamlessly manage members in Zoom Team Chat channels. The chat member modal features an "add member" button prominently placed above the member list. This enhanced experience simplifies the process of adding members.

    Users can access Zoom Rooms details, including their location and maximum capacity. They can find their frequently used rooms for quick rebooking, alongside a list of recommended and available room options. The enhanced filtering options allow users to refine their search further, filtering rooms based on floor level, maximum capacity, and location parameters such as site, state, or city. This feature must be enabled by Zoom.
  • Calendar: Enhanced shortcuts - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Users can right-click an event to modify its color, RSVP, or delete it. For events that are not modifiable by event attendees, attendees can still change the event color, which is only reflected on their local calendar.
  • Calendar weekly transition animation - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Users can experience a more intuitive interface with the addition of weekly transition animations when switching from the previous week to the next.
  • Addition of a private event icon - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Users can differentiate visually between public and private events with the addition of a private event icon to small, medium, and full event cards, as well as to the calendar side panel.

    Users can switch recording types during a recording session, enabling you to toggle between screen recording, camera-only recording, and combined screen and camera recording.     Clips owners can organize their clips into playlists.

    Users can share existing clips from Team Chat, previewing them through thumbnails and assigning appropriate permissions like viewer access for chat sharing. Additionally, users can create new clips directly within the file chooser and preview entire clips before selecting them, improving usability and integration across platforms.

    Additional languages are integrated across various Zoom Phone features. Users can select from a wider range of languages for call recording transcription, including Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), German, French (France and Canada), Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish (EU and US). This feature must be enabled by Zoom.
  • Enhancements to personalized audio isolation - iOS, iOS (Intune)
    The personalized audio isolation feature enhances the call experience for mobile users by allowing clear conversations, even in loud environments. Users can control the personalized audio isolation feature for Zoom Phone calls on their iOS device (iPhone SE 2nd generation, iPhone SE 3rd generation, and iPhone 11 and later). Users can enable or disable this setting in the Audio tab under the Settings menu on their Zoom mobile app.
  • Aimed call park retrieval for desktop and mobile devices - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)

    Agents using the CTI connector can select which person (the original caller or the person they are transferring the call to) to talk to during a warm transfer. They can easily swap between the two parties before completing or canceling the transfer. When transferring to another agent or supervisor, or to a Zoom Phone user, agents have the same warm transfer experience. While the agent initiates the transfer and talks to the other party, the original caller hears music. This feature eliminates friction for agents who need to gather additional information from the original caller before completing the transfer.
  • Visual indicator for new messages in Zoom Contact Center - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Agents using the Zoom Contact Center CTI connector can now receive visual and audio notifications for new inbound unread messages from end consumers across various channels, including SMS, chat, Facebook, WhatsApp, and video. The visual notification displays a count of new messages for background engagements, helping agents stay aware of incoming messages even when multitasking or working on multiple engagements simultaneously. This feature improves agent responsiveness and ensures timely responses to consumer inquiries.

This enhancement offers users greater flexibility in managing their draft messages and sent items within the integrated messaging platform.

    Custom emoji sorting has been improved based on emojis added by the user and the most popular emojis.     Users can edit any message, including those containing only images or files, and add or modify the text content. They can also add images or files to messages that were initially sent without attachments. This feature allows users to enhance their communications by providing additional context or supplementary information after the initial message has been sent, streamlining the messaging experience.
  • Increase compose box size on the Zoom mobile app - Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Users can expand the compose box on the Zoom mobile app by dragging it upwards, allowing for easier composition and viewing of longer messages. The expanded compose box remains fixed in the dragged position until minimized. When minimized, the text truncates with an ellipsis. The cursor position is maintained at the end of the text during expansion. This feature improves the user experience when composing messages on the mobile app.
  • Simplified one-to-one chat invitations with external users - Windows, macOS, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Users can initiate a 1:1 chat with an external user by entering their email address. The system will prompt the user that this is a contact request and will be sent as an email invitation as well as an in-client notification. Invitees can accept or decline the invitation from the client after signing in or signing up. If accepted, a 1:1 chat is created with the inviter's message populated. This provides a clear and safe way to invite and communicate with external users in a 1:1 chat. The invitation will expire after 30 days. This feature will not be immediately available, as it is dependent on a backend release, currently scheduled for June 20, 2024.
  • Expanded GIPHY search and display capabilities in Zoom Team Chat - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Users can now view up to 30 GIF search results from GIPHY within the Zoom Team Chat app. The search results load incrementally as the user types their query, providing a more dynamic and responsive experience.

    The message forwarding experience in Zoom Team Chat has been improved. Share message will be replaced with Forward message in multiple locations:
    • Within the More menu associated with the message bubble
    • In the title of the share/forward pop-up modal
    • On the call-to-action button within the modal
    • On the share/forward card displayed when the message is forwarded, along with its corresponding icon. Share message will be substituted with Forward/Forwarded message in these instances.
      Additionally, to ensure consistency across mobile and desktop versions, two buttons, Share separately and Create group chat, will be included in the share modal on desktop. Previously, these buttons were only accessible on mobile devices. This modification is intended to harmonize the functionality between the desktop and mobile versions of the feature.

    Account owners and admins can enable an option to always use CallKit for iOS devices when making Zoom Phone calls. When enabled, incoming native calls on the iOS device will not interrupt ongoing Zoom Phone VoIP calls. This improves the call experience for users by preventing disruptions during important calls. This feature must be enabled by Zoom.

    The voicemail transcription feature is generally available for additional languages, including French (Canadian), Spanish, Portuguese, and German. The default setting is English.

    Users can select additional languages for voicemail and videomail transcription, including Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), French (France), Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Spanish (EU). Users can set their default transcription language for voicemail, videomail, and call recording transcriptions in the Zoom Workplace app. This feature must be enabled by Zoom.

    There are several enhancements to spam prevention rules for outbound SMS messages. When duplicated SMS messages are sent on the Zoom desktop or mobile app, users will receive a risk notice that they must acknowledge. Phone numbers reported for spam are classified into risk categories, and appropriate actions are taken, such as sending notifications, reducing SMS limits, or suspending SMS capability. This feature ensures compliance with messaging best practices.
  • Support for multiple languages for voice call summary - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Users can select from a wider range of languages for the voice call summary feature, including Chinese (Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish. The feature also includes language identification, automatically detecting language transitions during calls to ensure accurate transcription. This feature must be enabled by Zoom.
  • Post-quantum end-to-end encryption support for Zoom Phone - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Users can enable post-quantum end-to-end encryption (PQ-E2EE) for Zoom Phone calls. When enabled, users are notified that their call is "Post quantum end-to-end encrypted". As users update their Zoom desktop and mobile app to version 6.1.0 or higher, all end-to-end encrypted calls will start leveraging our latest post-quantum end-to-end encryption protocol. If PQ E2EE is unsupported by any participant's device, the call will default to standard end-to-end encryption (E2EE) when enabled. PQ E2EE in Zoom Phone is designed to withstand the threat of an adversary who can capture encrypted network traffic, hoping to acquire a quantum computer in the future and use it to decrypt the captured data. PQ E2EE offers the same security property as standard end-to-end encryption (E2EE), namely that the call is encrypted using cryptographic keys known only to the devices of the caller and receiver.

When sharing begins, the video view automatically shifts to a 3D-focused sharing mode where models can be freely rotated and zoomed by all participants who are using Apple Vision Pro. For participants on platforms that do not support these features directly, a live video stream of the sharer's view will be provided.

    Simulive webinars stream at the highest quality that each attendee's device can handle. Previously, if one attendee's device couldn't handle 1080p, the quality would downgrade for all webinar attendees. The video quality is optimized for each attendee based on their device and network capabilities. Users with sufficient bandwidth and processing power will consistently receive 1080p quality.

    Team Chat users can use Zoom AI Companion to facilitate quick responses within chat, streamlining the process of replying to messages. With this feature enabled, the system can provide suggested phrases and users can simply click on a suggested phrase to respond to a message. Currently, this feature is available for mobile users.
  • Alert users of exceeding character limit while composing a message - Windows, macOS, Linux
    To enhance the user experience, real-time notifications will alert users when they reach the character limit while composing a message in Team Chat, continuous meeting chat, and in-meeting chat. This will ensure that users are aware of the limit before attempting to send the message. Additionally, the real-time display of the character count deficit will enable users to promptly edit their message and adhere to the character limit.
  • Consistent unfurling support across in-meeting chat and Team Chat - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    The functionality of content unfurling in the in-meeting chat feature will now match that of Team Chat. This allows users to preview links shared in continuous meeting chat before opening them.

    The Zoom Phone app integrated with Zendesk has been enhanced to handle situations where a phone number matches multiple Zendesk contacts. When a match occurs, users will see an indication next to the contact info showing the number of matches. This indication is clickable, opening a pop-up window where users can view contact details and choose the correct contact. After confirming their selection, a Zendesk ticket will be created for the selected contact. This improves the user experience by preventing tickets from being created against the wrong contact. Additionally, an admin setting has been added to enable or disable this multiple contact selection feature.
  • Enable hosts to temporarily hold participants in multi-party calls – Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    The conference host and co-host of a multi-party call can temporarily put one or all participants on hold. The host can toggle participants between being held or unheld. When a participant is held, they only hear the hold music set at the account level and cannot hear the main call. This enables hosts to have private conversations within a multi-party call. Hosts have options to start calls with all held, hold all at once, unhold all at once, hold individuals, and unhold individuals.
    Note: Account owners and admins must contact Zoom Support to enable the Multi Party Conferencing feature for their account.

  • New searchable skills drop-down when transferring to queue with routing profile - Windows, macOS, Linux
    A new search capability to the skills drop-down has been added so agents can quickly find the appropriate skill to complete the transfer. It allows faster completion of transfers to queues with routing profiles. This applies to Zoom Contact Center channels where the skills modal is shown such as Zoom desktop app and Zoom Web App.
  • Persist outbound caller ID selection for agents across sessions - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Agents can now persist their last used outbound number when sending SMS or voice engagements. Once an agent selects their outbound number, this selection will be remembered across clients within Contact Center. This enhances the agent experience by removing the need to re-select the same outbound number every time they log in or switch clients. Overall, it saves agents time and simplifies workflows when handling outbound SMS and voice engagements.
  • Sound alerts for new unread messages - Windows, macOS, Linux
    When enabled, agents will hear a sound notification when they receive a new unread message for a background engagement they have open. This helps ensure agents receive audio reminders of messages needing a response when they are multitasking between engagements or applications. By notifying agents of messages requiring their attention, this improves agent productivity and consumer satisfaction. This feature must be enabled by Zoom.

Changes to existing features

  The Zoom app for desktop and mobile is now named Zoom Workplace, in order to align the app name with Zoom’s extensive product offerings that are designed to help users reimagine the way they collaborate. Users updating to this version will see the new Zoom Workplace branding in the app and as the app name in their app directory. This change also affects installer file names, so admins with mass deployments should adjust any scripts to account for the new file names (Zoom Workplace (32-bit), Zoom Workplace (64-bit), and Zoom Workplace (ARM64)).
• Late joining participants no longer blocked from unmuting or starting video - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
  Participants joining a meeting that has already started recording, live streaming, or using an AI Companion feature will no longer be blocked from unmuting or turning on their video. They will still see the applicable consent prompts and have their audio (recording, live streaming, AI Companion) and video (recording and live streaming) muted, but will not be blocked from using these controls while the prompt is still visible. Previously, these consent prompts prevented users from unmuting or starting their video until the prompt was acknowledged and consent provided.
• Consolidated Meeting and Calendar tabs - Windows, macOS, Linux
  The Meetings and Calendar tabs are merging to provide the greater visibility of the calendar view with the meeting details needed for your daily tasks. Easily view and filter upcoming meetings, view the invitees and their responses, and review shared materials ahead of the session, while also reviewing previous meetings and their assets, such as recordings, continuous meeting chats, whiteboards, and more. This change will be rolled out to accounts over time and be controlled through a web setting available at the account, group, and user levels. Initially, Basic, Pro, and some smaller Business accounts will have this available with the March release, with this enabled by default for those Basic and Pro accounts. Other accounts can expect this in an upcoming release, which can be managed for eligible accounts through the Feature Release Controls.
• End of support for Windows 7 and 8 - Windows
  With this release, Windows users will need to be on Windows 10 or higher. Devices still using Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 will no longer be supported and will have 5.17.10 (or any additional patches in the 5.17.X branch) as the last version available.

    Zoom Meeting participants can personalize the in-meeting toolbar by dragging-and-dropping to add, move, and remove meetings feature options to suit their needs. Buttons can be reordered, or dragged to/from the More menu. Personalizations for signed-in users will be synced across their desktop experiences. Additionally, the default in-meeting toolbar has fewer buttons and consolidated many options under the More menu to support improved ease of use. The Audio, Video, More and End options cannot be removed from the in-meeting toolbar. Additionally, the floating screen-sharing toolbar is updated and simplified to make it easier to use and more focused on core tasks while presenting during a meeting.
  • Improved collaboration with Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive files - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Sharing files from Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive is updated to make it easier to select files and share them for in-meeting viewing or collaboration. First, the third-party service’s native file picker will be used to select a file, instead of the Zoom file picker. After selecting a file from Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, choosing Collaborate (which will grant participants file editing permissions), invites all participants to join in collaborating on the document using their system browsers,
  • Improved voiceprint for personalized audio isolation - Windows, macOS, Linux
    The Personalized audio isolation audio profile is enhanced to allow for users to make a short voice recording of them reading a predefined script. This helps to enhance audio isolation performance whether headset or non-headset microphones are used, even in open environments. Zoom will store and use your voiceprint for this purpose, until you delete it, which you can do at any time in your audio settings.
  • Improved Companion mode - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Connecting a device in Companion mode allows for easier video, chat, and sharing across multiple devices in any meeting. Connect in Companion mode from the Zoom app to view and respond to in-meeting chat or begin sharing the camera or an image on the device, all without joining the meeting as additional duplicate versions of yourself in the meeting. Start the meeting from another client, then connect on the desktop app and continue sharing a slide deck, managing participants, conducting a poll, and more. Additionally, when connected to a local Zoom Room in Companion mode, the Zoom Rooms Controller app, if enabled by admins, will no longer automatically open, but will still be readily available as an option in the control toolbar. Clicking will open the Zoom Rooms Controller app as a side-panel in the meeting window. This change in behavior to the Zoom Rooms controller app will currently only be available for the Zoom desktop app for Windows, with macOS to follow soon. This feature will be rolling out to accounts over the next few months.
  • Portrait lighting for video - Windows, macOS, Linux
    The new portrait lighting setting allows Zoom to dim your background while brightening you in the foreground, making you stand out even more in your meetings. This is available through in-app video settings and has hardware prerequisites similar to using virtual backgrounds without a greenscreen.
  • SIP/H.323 interoperability UI enhancements - Windows, macOS, Linux
    When a Zoom user client calls a SIP or H.323 Room System or destination, the caller ID will indicate the user name, instead of “Zoom” followed by the meeting ID. Also, some indicators embedded in the video stream sent to the SIP/H.323 destination, such as quality bars, participant counts, and participant name labels, are hidden to avoid duplicative or unnecessary information display.
  • Exclude hosts and panelists from survey participation - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    A new web setting can prevent individuals with hosting roles from participating in surveys, streamlining the administration process and ensuring more accurate and unbiased feedback from participants. This includes the host, co-host, and webinar panelists.
  • Consolidated notifications for enabled/disabled features - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Unnecessary and redundant in-meeting notifications are removed or set to not appear multiple times, clearing up visual clutter that may interfere with the live meeting. The initiator of a feature will not see a confirmation notification, as they are aware of the feature they are selecting, and when certain features are disabled, the corresponding notification is suppressed as well.
  • Automated captioning and translated caption support for Hebrew - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Automated and translated captioning support is expanding to include captioning for the Hebrew language. This language is enabled by default, but admins can control the availability of this language through the Automated captions and Translated captions settings within the web portal.
  • Greek, Bengali, Norwegian, and Welsh support for translated captions - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Accounts using the translated captions feature will be able to have automated captions translated from any currently supported language to Greek, Bengali, Norwegian, and Welsh, facilitating easier communication between participants in Zoom Meetings. Translated captioning is not yet supported when translating from these languages, as they are not yet supported for automated captioning. These languages are enabled by default, but admins can control availability of this through the Translated captions setting in the web portal.

    Mobile app users can enable reminders ahead of their upcoming meetings, choosing how many minutes ahead of the meeting to have the reminder notification appear.

  • Multi-speaker video layout - Windows, macOS
    The Multi-speaker video layout helps provide meeting participants a more engaging experience, dynamically adapting to current speakers by highlighting and enlarging their video tiles over others, while still providing a view of other participants in a smaller gallery view below. This will also be available when viewing shared content in side-by-side mode, with the speakers being more prominently displayed next to the shared screen or app window.
  • In-meeting AI Companion disable and delete - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Hosts, co-hosts, and participants (in the absence of a host) can choose to turn off all AI Companion features at once in a meeting. Additionally, they have the option to delete meeting assets generated thus far, such as recordings, summary, and transcript, to help ensure these assets are not unintentionally shared with anyone after the meeting. These options are available to the host and co-hosts by default, with participants able to request disablement as well. In the absence of either the host or co-host in a meeting, any participant will be able to disable and delete assets.
  • In-meeting AI Companion features combined enablement - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    The host and co-hosts in a meeting can more easily enable both AI Companion features in a meeting with just a click of a combined Turn on all option under the AI Companion option in the meeting toolbar. This enables both Meeting Summary and Meeting Questions features for the current meeting.
  • Simplified AI Companion consent notifications for hosts - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    When the meeting host initiates the meeting summary or meeting questions features, they will no longer see the consent prompt, and instead will see a simple toast notification along the top of the meeting window, which will disappear after a few seconds. Other meeting participants will see the consent notification as a prompt along the top of the meeting window, but must acknowledge the prompt before it will disappear.
  • Meeting wallpapers - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Meeting hosts can customize the wallpaper in their meeting, adding more color and customization to their meeting view. The host or co-host can choose from preset images provided by Zoom or their account admins. With a selection made, they can also adjust how much to blend the participant videos with the wallpaper image. Admins can control use of this at the account level, as well as provide additional default images, which are available to the host and co-host during meetings. Images uploaded through the web portal by admins must be JPG/JPEG or 24-bit PNG with a maximum size of 15 MB. The recommended resolution is 1920x1080px.
  • Dynamic emoji reactions for video tiles - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    Meeting reactions appearing in a user’s video tile, either in gallery or speaker views, are more dynamic with emojis appearing and floating up and around the user. This provides a greater visual indication of other video participant’s reactions for the presenter or speaker. These reactions only appear for video-on participants and can be disabled through the in-meeting Reactions settings.
  • Support for expanded remote control settings regarding external participants - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Android (Intune), iOS, iOS (Intune)
    The Zoom app supports recent changes to web settings to control the use of the remote control feature when external participants are present, which includes preventing guests from controlling other guests’ screens and preventing internal users from controlling a guest's screen.

    To provide higher quality video while conserving bandwidth usage, Zoom continues rolling out this video codec to Pro accounts. Use of codecs, including AV1, is adaptive, and Zoom dynamically chooses the most appropriate codec.

This makes it easier to know what attendees will see in the webinar prior to attendees joining, making panelists more comfortable and confident ahead of the upcoming live webinar.

    For webinars not collecting attendees’ email addresses, meaning registration is not required and the Include email address in attendee report setting is disabled, attendees joining the session will no longer be prompted to enter an email address.

    Hosts and account admins can customize the waiting room experience for webinars, allowing customization of the image, text, and other waiting room assets that attendees see before joining each session and providing a more engaging and branded joining experience for attendees. These custom assets can be saved to webinar templates for reuse. Additionally, hosts can also view the number of attendees waiting to join while the webinar is in practice mode, allowing them to decide when it is the best time to end practice mode and allow attendees into the webinar. This feature will be rolling out to accounts over the next months.

    The Continuous Meeting Chat experience has been enhanced to provide a quick snapshot of all meeting assets such as recordings, Meeting Summary with AI Companion, files, links, attachments, or Whiteboard links. Depending on the content generated during the meeting and the host's preferences, users will now have a quick and easy way to reference all these items in one place. If the meeting was cloud recorded, the host will see an interactive card in the meeting group chat, visible only to them, prompting them to share the recording with others in the continuous meeting chat. If shared, the posted meeting asset interactive card is updated to include the link to the recording. Other channel members will see Pending host approval until the host decides to share the recording. The same applies to the Meeting Summary with AI Companion if the host has the corresponding setting to share it only with themselves.

    Team Chat now includes tabs for whiteboards and important links, streamlining access to relevant resources. Owners and admins can pin essential resources in channels for easy access by all members. Users can collaborate on shared whiteboards in real-time within the chat interface. Tabs can be renamed, reorganized, or removed as needed. In group chats and direct messages, all members can manage tab content. Additionally, a split view feature enables simultaneous viewing of tab content and the main chat stream, enhancing productivity. The interface has been reorganized for efficiency, with the search function moved to the top of the chat stream and other options consolidated in the More menu. Chat resources are now accessible via the Resources tab, offering a more convenient experience for users.

  • Increase compose box size for macOS app - macOS
    macOS users can adjust the height of the compose box on the Zoom app, allowing easier expansion of the threaded reply box and better visibility of the entire drafted message. This feature was previously only available on the Zoom desktop app for Windows.

    Shared spaces are a collection of channels and members that help organize work around a specific project, team, or topic.
    Admins and users can create Shared Spaces for corporate communication, different business units, or departments. This allows for easier management of membership and ensures better access and usability for users within those spaces. However, on mobile, users can only read and reply in spaces; they cannot create them. This feature enables efficient collaboration and access to discussions and channels associated with important projects. Note: This feature will not be immediately available, as it is dependent on a backend release, currently scheduled for April 22, 2024.

When activating during a meeting, the host can also choose to allow participants to also view all shared desktops. Admins can control the use of this feature with account and group level settings, with hosts also being able to enable this for individual meetings as well.
  • macOS Sonoma Screen Sharing support - macOS
    macOS Sonoma users can utilize the native sharing support built in to app windows on their desktop. Long-clicking the green icon in the top-left of any app window provides the option to Share On Zoom and initiate sharing that window into the active Zoom meeting or webinar. Alternatively, the System Picker option is available when clicking Share in the Zoom meeting window directly, allowing the user to system the native macOS sharing picker. Hosts can also set this option as the default in the Screen Share section of the client settings.

  • Auto-move to/from Waiting Room - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, Android (Intune), iOS (Intune)
    Admins have additional Waiting Room customization options, allowing them to automatically move participants to the Waiting Room if the host or alternative host leaves, as well as automatically admit those participants back into the meeting when the host or alternative host returns. Upon leaving the meeting, the host will be notified that the participants have been moved, and the participants will remain in the Waiting Room to wait for a host to return. This feature supports up to 50 participants in the Waiting Room.

    Account admins can allow webinar attendees to view Q&A submissions from other attendees, even if those submissions were from before they joined the webinar. This feature must be enabled by Zoom, and when enabled, applies to all webinars on the account and requires all hosts and attendees to join with Zoom app version 5.17.0 or higher. Those with a lower app version can still join the webinar, but will neither be able to see the Q&A option on their control toolbar nor participate in Q&A. Without this enabled for your account, webinar attendees can only view Q&A submissions from after they joined the webinar.

    Account owners and admins can create delegated mailboxes for managers when their employees leave the company. The manager will have full delegate access to the employee’s mailbox, including both read/write capabilities.

    The Zoom Contact Center email channel has been enhanced to better differentiate between new incoming emails and replies or forwards of existing conversations. If a new email comes in that is a reply or forward of an existing open engagement, with only an edited subject line, it will now be merged into that existing engagement. This prevents duplicate engagements and keeps the full conversation history together. However, if the new email has the same recipients but is a new conversation, a separate engagement will be created. This update allows Zoom Contact Center to distinguish between continued conversations and new conversations with the same recipients.

    This app allows users to join and participate in Zoom Meetings through their Vision Pro headset. Users can sign-in with their Zoom account (or create a new account), then see their upcoming meetings, details for their PMI, share meeting details with others, and join meetings as needed. When participating in a meeting, users can share their view of the visionOS UI (similar to screen sharing on the desktop client), send reactions, switch between Speaker and Gallery views, and easily transfer meetings between the desktop client, mobile app, and Vision Pro.

    Meeting users wanting a more engaging sharing session can utilize this new presenter layout, which combines your video and shared screen to present everything in one frame. Presenters have a few different layout options, ranging from having the content appear over-the-shoulder of your video, the presenter appearing in front of the content, or the presenter and the content appearing side-by-side. These options are available in the sharing window where users can select what they want to share, the layout of their video and the shared content, and a common virtual background for both you and the content. Admins can also control the use of this through web settings available at the account, group, and user-level settings pages.

    In addition to restricting who can post in a channel, channel admins can choose to allow all other channel members to post, but only as a reply to a message.     Channel, group chat, and continuous meeting chat owners can manually archive their unused chat channels, group chats, and continuous meeting chats. These chats can also be unarchived if the discussion needs to be re-opened. Admins can also set auto-archive policies from the web portal.

    The latest sent message in a 1:1 chat or small group chat or channel (20 members max) can show read receipts of who has read the message so far. Visibility of read receipts can potentially be disabled through the Team Chat section of client settings, if allowed by admins.

Commenters can tag specific individuals or everyone authorized to view the clip. Furthermore, individuals who haven't been authorized to view a clip cannot be tagged in a comment.

    Saved Replies allow agents to respond faster to common questions by inserting pre-written responses into their messaging engagements (SMS, web chat, in-app chat, Facebook). Agents can quickly insert replies using shortcuts or the reply assistant.
  • Toggle callers during warm transfers - Windows, macOS
    During a warm voice call transfer, agents and supervisors can easily alternate between the original caller and the transfer recipient before completing the warm transfer. This provides a seamless way to get information from either party during the warm transfer process.
  • Enhanced outbound call error notification - Windows, macOS
    The notification message for unanswered or unconnected outbound calls provide more context about why the call did not complete based on the SIP response code received.     External cameras connected to an iPad will be recognized and usable by the Zoom mobile app.

    Multiple users can now annotate with arrows simultaneously without displacing each other's work, encourages more users to participate in collaborative activities. Previously, only one arrow could be placed on the screen at a time.
  • Enhanced captioning control for hosts/co-host - Android, iOS
    Hosts can have greater control of captioning use and the speaking language for the meeting. If enabled in web settings, captions can only be enabled by the host. Participants in the meeting can request captioning be enabled, which prompts the host (and co-hosts) to enable captioning and choose a speaking language. This feature has been available for the desktop app since the 5.14.10 release. 
        
• Meeting features
  • Request host to start cloud recording - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, Android (Intune), iOS (Intune)
    Meeting participants can request the host begin a cloud recording of the current meeting. The meeting host will receive the request and be able to approve the request and begin the cloud recording, decline this request, or decline this and all future requests for this meeting. If unlocked by admins at the account or group level, the host can also decide to enable Smart Recording with AI Companion for the current meeting’s cloud recording, or for the current and all future meetings.
  • Improved controls for starting recordings with Zoom Revenue Accelerator - Windows, macOS, Linux
    The in-meeting controls for starting a cloud recording are updated to make a clearer distinction between starting a normal cloud recording and starting a cloud recording with Zoom Revenue Accelerator analytics. This requires the user have a Zoom Revenue Accelerator license.
  • Support for guest participants in on-prem meetings - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, Android (Intune), iOS (Intune)
    Customers with specific regulatory and security needs utilizing Zoom Node and Meetings Hybrid solution can allow external guest participants to join meetings held on premises directly through the host datacenter. This is available for accounts utilizing Zoom Meeting Hybrid with private meeting mode and must be enabled by account admins before users can invite external guests.

  • Keep formatting when copying and pasting text in Team Chat - Windows, macOS
    Users can copy text with formatting from external sources, such as documents or web pages, and paste it directly into the Zoom Team Chat while retaining the original formatting. Additionally, formatting will be preserved when copying and pasting text within Team Chat, enabling the text to appear as intended, whether it’s bold, italicized, in lists, or other formatting styles.
  • Group chat usability improvements - Windows, macOS
    When a user initiates a new chat, the system will automatically populate the most recent group chat with the same membership, effectively reducing redundancy. Users can continue to create a new group chat with the same membership if they would like. Additionally, the enhancement involves removing the current logic for adding a new member to a direct message between two users.
  • Enhancements to Team Chat Activity Center - Windows, macOS
    In addition to activity center notifications for 1:1 messages, mentions, reactions, and replies, users can receive notifications for permissions and chat/channel management.
  • Enhanced DLP Monitoring: File sent events and file open/download activity tracking in Team Chat and Meeting Chat - Windows, macOS, LInux, Android, iOS
    Users can scan and eliminate files containing sensitive data. In the event of removal, they can also conduct an audit to identify individuals who may have viewed the file before its deletion, ensuring compliance with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) requirements. This functionality is made possible by the recently added Chat APIs and Webhooks.
  • Zoom App cards in Team Chat - Windows, macOS
    When a Zoom App Marketplace link is shared in Team Chat, including both meeting chat and continuous meeting chat, a visually appealing card will be displayed. This card will feature essential information about the app, such as the title, thumbnail, a brief description, and a call to action. This enhancement aims to simplify the app installation process and encourage user engagement by providing a clear interface for adding, opening, or requesting the app.

  • Private Call Park & Aim Call Park for Shared Line Group - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, Android (Intune), iOS (Intune)
    Administrators have the flexibility to create a user group with permissions for these activities and specify the location where calls should be picked up. Those not included in the designated group are unable to retrieve these calls. Aim Call Park allows a user to transfer a parked call to an available user-selected aim call park number. Admin can configure phones that support the directed call park Busy Lamp Field (BLF) to monitor the busy/idle status of specific directed call park numbers in the admin portal. Users can also use the BLF to speed dial an aim call park number. The feature can be enabled at the account and site levels. This feature must be enabled by Zoom.

    Significant enhancements are made to contact search experience when agents or supervisors make outbound engagements or transfer engagements. The enhanced contact search experience now supports searching by name, phone number or email address, improving the sorting order of search results and the display of keyword-matching results.     Zoom's AI Companion is being added to Zoom Contact Center, empowering agents to increase productivity. The features that are currently available include:
    • Engagement Preview/Summary: Agents see an auto-generated summary before they accept the engagement.
    • Talk Speed & Speech Length: Agents see real-time speech metrics to improve the agent/customer interaction.
    • Sentiment Analysis: Agents can view the current sentiment of the engagement to help them de-escalate the consumer.
    • Follow-Up Actions: Agents can generate a list of next steps / actions based on the context of the conversation with the customer.
          
  • AI Expert Assist - Windows, macOS
    Zoom Contact Center's AI Expert Assist (EA) empowers agents to efficiently address customer issues and minimize handle time. It provides real-time support, making it easy for agents to access all the necessary information in one place, ultimately improving customer issue resolution during the first interaction. Expert Assist requires the Elite package, or an add-on license on top of basic/essentials and premium. The core features that are currently available include:
    • Wrap-up Summary: Agents can auto-generate a concise and accurate summary of their interaction with the customer, eliminating the need to manually take notes.
    • Knowledge Base (KB) Retrieval: Evaluates the customer's intent and automatically shows the relevant knowledge base article to the agent while interacting with consumers.

Ensuring the correct spoken language is chosen improves the quality of the generated transcript for AI Companion questions.

    When scheduling a meeting in the Zoom app, hosts can enable auto-start for AI Companion questions and meeting summary.     • Some examples of the engagement controls that have been moved to the common location:
      • Voice engagement controls such as mute, upgrading to video, add call, transfer, hold, and recording.
      • Video engagement controls such as mute, start/stop video, chat, hold, transfer, share screen, and show captions.

    There are major usability enhancements to contact search experience when making an outbound or transferring an engagement. This new search experience allows users to quickly find the desired contact and decide on how to reach the desired contact. These enhancements only apply to voice and messaging channels.
  • Enhancements to leave button experience - Windows, macOS
    This enhancement improves the leave button experience for consumers ending video sessions using a browser or kiosk. It provides a smoother leave flow so that consumers immediately leave the call when they click or tap Leave or End. If there are still participants in the engagement, they can rejoin.
  • Enhancement to Completed Engagements tab - Windows, macOS
    Engagements will display in the Completed Engagements tab in the client for 12 hours after the engagement ends. Previously, engagements displayed for 12 hours after the engagement began. This change ensures that engagements with durations exceeding 12 hours will appear in the Completed Engagements tab in the client.
  • Consumer engagement history - Windows, macOS
    Supervisors and agents can view consumer engagement in the History tab. They can view related information for each engagement, including start/end times, engagement ID, assigned agent, notes, and queues.

    The external labeling is enhanced with the addition of an 'external' label in the left panel of Team Chat for direct messages with external users. These enhancements ensure better visibility of external participants in chats and channels.

    Users can add a new email account to their own account. They can send emails with the added account without switching accounts by using the Send mail as feature.
  • Option to enable end-to-end encryption (E2EE) - Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Android (Intune), iOS (Intune)
    Account admin owners or admins can choose whether end-to-end encryption (E2EE) is enabled or disabled for their Zoom Mail domain. If the account admin disables E2EE, escrow and encryption are turned off for all users in their account. When a user enables a domain for Zoom Mail, they can turn E2EE on or off the first time.
  • Enhancements to the Find a Time feature - Windows, macOS
    When hosts create an event and use the Find a Time feature, they can click and drag the event slot on their calendar to change the date and time, change the event duration (by extending or shortening it), and show the start/end times. Previously, hosts had to manually enter the start/end times.

    Users can create a duplicate event and add different event details or private information without notifying other attendees.

  Paid users on eligible paid plans (may not be available for select verticals and regional customers) may be able to see the Zoom AI Companion chat compose and thread summary options within the Team Chat UI, even if the account admin has not enabled it. If these options are visible but not enabled, users can request admin enablement. Account admins can control the visibility of these enablement options through web settings.     Mobile users can more easily interact with various Zoom features during a live meeting, while still being able to see most video tiles. This enhancement allows certain meeting controls, such as in-meeting chat and the participants list, to be opened initially over the bottom-half of the screen, still allowing visibility of video tiles above. These panels can be expanded to cover the entire screen, if the additional space is needed. This feature will begin rolling out to free users, with other accounts types to receive this functionality soon after.
  • Expanded product tabs on mobile - Android, iOS, Android (Intune), iOS (Intune)
    Tabs available on the bottom of the Zoom mobile app are expanding to include Mail and Calendar tab, making it easier for mobile users to access their email and calendar through Zoom.
  • Max bandwidth for Zoom Mesh parent-devices - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, Android (Intune), iOS (Intune)
    To better adapt to weaker networks, each parent device is limited to a maximum bandwidth, which, when exceeded by child devices, triggers the parent device to connect to no additional child devices. For ethernet connections, the maximum bandwidth is 60 MBPS, and 15 MBPS for wifi connections. This has no effect on the setting for maximum bandwidth per attendee.
  • Update to OpenSSL 3.1.1 - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, Android (Intune), iOS (Intune)
    Due to the end of support by OpenSSL for version 1.1.1, the Zoom client is updated to use OpenSSL 3.1.1. Depending on your network security configuration, you may also need to update your network infrastructure devices’ firmware.

    When annotating on a shared desktop or specific window, the annotation toolbar is redesigned to improve usability and reduce the screen space used by that toolbar. The toolbar is slimmed down and will snap to the nearest edge of the screen, orienting either vertically or horizontally.
  • Q&A usability enhancement - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Threaded comments to submitted questions in Q&A are capped at displaying 2 comments before they are hidden behind a View More option. This aims to make reading submitted questions and their responses easier by reducing how other questions and expanding threads affect each other in the Q&A window.
  • Window merge-in enhancements - Windows, macOS, Linux
    Side panels, such as the in-meeting chat and participants panels, can be easily popped out from the main meeting/webinar window for ease of use, and with these updates, they are even easier to merge back into the meeting/webinar window. Additionally, the Q&A window for meetings and webinars can be merged into the main window. Previously it was only possible to close or minimize the Q&A window, not merge it into the main meeting/webinar window.
  • Captioning controls redesign - Windows, macOS, Linux
    The in-meeting/in-webinar captioning controls are redesigned to make captioning options easier and more intuitive to enable and adjust. Host controls are clearly separated from other controls available to all participants and some settings are renamed slightly to be more clear to users.
  • Enhanced manual captioning UI - Windows, macOS, Linux
    The window where captions are manually entered more clearly indicates that captions appear for meeting participants or webinar attendees as the captioner types, rather than when hitting the Enter key.

    Webinar resources can display multiple resource links at a time during a Webinar. When multiple links are enabled during the Webinar, attendees will be able to scroll through the links that the host enabled.     Users can create their own emojis, adding a personal flair to their conversations. All members in the user's organization can see and use these custom emojis in Team Chat conversations and reactions. By default, custom emojis are enabled and all users can upload their own, but admins can also limit emoji creation through account settings by choosing whether all users in the organization can create emojis or only the admin(s) and specific users can create emojis.

    Scheduled messages improve custom workflows and productivity in Team Chat, giving users the ability to schedule messages for future delivery. Previously, users had to choose between waiting to send messages (even if it meant working beyond their usual hours) or potentially disrupting the recipient.

    Drafted messages are conveniently listed and accessible through a new Drafts tab within the Team Chat side panel.
  • Consent required for channel and group chat additions - Windows, macOS 
    Users will be presented with a consent notice before being added to an external channel or group chat. Adding external users to channels and group chats no longer requires contact requests. However, contact request approvals are still needed for one-on-one chats. This feature will not be immediately available, as it is dependent on a backend release, currently scheduled for September 24, 2023.
  • Team Chat Thread Summary with Zoom AI Companion - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, Android (Intune), iOS (Intune)
    Team Chat users can use Zoom AI Companion to help summarize a chat thread and quickly catch up on the discussion without having to read each response in the thread.
  • Add timestamp to the lists of existing chats in a dropdown - Windows, macOS
    When a user initiates a new group chat with the same members, the user will see a timestamp indicating the last message sent in each existing chat with identical membership. The timestamp will allow users to easily distinguish between multiple group chats featuring the same members. This way, users can quickly identify which chat is most relevant or contains the information they're looking for. This feature will not be immediately available, as it is dependent on a backend release, currently scheduled for October 15, 2023.
  • Enhancements to the Team Chat mobile experience - Android, iOS, Android (Intune), iOS (Intune)
    Various improvements to the Team Chat mobile experience are being introduced to maintain parity with the desktop client and enable users to quickly catch up on their prioritized conversations, including one-on-one chats, mentions, channels, and group chats with notifications.
  • Keep formatting when copying and pasting text in Team Chat - Android, iOS, Android (Intune), iOS (Intune)
    Users can copy text with formatting from external sources, such as documents or web pages, and paste it directly into the Zoom Team Chat while retaining the original formatting. Additionally, formatting will be preserved when copying and pasting text within Team Chat, ensuring that the text appears as intended, whether it’s bold, italicized, in lists, or other formatting styles.
        
• Mail and Calendar features
  • Add a reply message - Windows, macOS
    When users RSVP to an event, they have the option to add a reply note to inform the host why they can or cannot attend the event. Additionally, users can include a reply message when they propose a new time for an event. This feature is available for Microsoft, Google, and Zoom calendars.
  • Compose or refine emails with Zoom AI Companion - Windows, macOS
    Users can access Zoom AI Companion for Mail to enter a prompt and generate emails. When responding to an email thread, users can generate an email using information from the thread and/or an inputted prompt. Users can enable or disable the Zoom AI Companion for Mail integration.
  • Support for the Important label - Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Android (Intune), iOS (Intune)
    Users can view and filter emails that are important. They can also mark or unmark emails as important as well as arrange inbox sections into Important/Everything Else. Currently, only Gmail supports this feature.
  • Updates to outdated events - Windows, macOS
    Users will always see the event details whenever they click the event invitation email. Previously, Zoom Mail displayed the following message for outdated events: “This invitation is out of date.”
  • Use dropdown menu to switch between calendars - Windows, macOS
    Users can leverage the Zoom Calendar dropdown menu to easily switch between multiple calendars. Previously, users had to switch calendars in the Zoom Mail tab's Settings dropdown menu.
  • Propose a new meeting time - Windows, macOS
    Users have the option to propose a new time that works better for them when they view events on their calendar. This feature is only supported for Zoom and Outlook service calendar clients. Note: This will not be available for Google Calendar.
  • Enable Switch & Join in sidebar and calendar view - Windows, macOS
    The Switch and Join button is enabled for users in the Zoom Calendar sidebar and main calendar view. Users can switch between concurrent events. Previously, when users joined an event, the join button was disabled for other concurrent events.
  • Email all guests in calendar invite - Windows, macOS
    When composing an email, a user can email all guests in a calendar invite. The user can also select and remove individual guests from the mail list.
  • Updates to Zoom Calendar scheduler attendee list - Windows, macOS
    The time selector and attendee list have been updated. The attendee list is moved to the right side and is scrollable.
        
• Phone features
  • Incoming call focus - Windows, macOS
    This feature is per request only, and if enabled for your account, users have the choice to opt for either permitting incoming calls to take focus or maintaining their ongoing focus. Existing users will experience no alteration in their behavior after the feature release, with incoming calls prioritizing focus over the application being used. New users will find that the default setting preserves the focus on the application in use when a call is received.
  • Bridge Zoom Phone call and Meeting audio - Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Android (Intune), iOS (Intune)
    When Merge meeting audio to Zoom Phone invite during dial is enabled by admins, users can seamlessly integrate a Zoom Phone call with their ongoing meeting, allowing them to invite participants via phone numbers and navigate phone trees using DTMF tones, ensuring a more interactive and efficient communication experience during meetings. This feature will not be immediately available as it is dependent on a backend server update, currently scheduled for September 28.

    While in a video engagement, agents and consumers can select the specific camera, speaker and microphone they want to use.
  • Video waiting room drop-in - Windows, macOS
    Supervisors can drop in to the video waiting room to video chat with a consumer that is waiting. This allows supervisors to assist the consumer that is waiting for an agent. Account owners and admins can customize which roles have access to drop-ins. They can also view the number of drop-ins.
  • UI enhancements to video experience - Windows, macOS
    The performance and layout of the video display in video engagements has been enhanced. Agents and consumers can also set the video layout to speaker or gallery view, and hide their own self-view video.
  • Report issue to Zoom - Windows, macOS
    Agents and consumers in a video engagement experiencing audio or video issues can report it to Zoom.
