Changing the appearance and color of the Zoom Workplace app


Users can change the color theme of the Zoom Workplace app, either changing to a different color theme or switching to dark mode, which can be useful for those with light sensitivities or just working late at night.

Change the app appearance

Users can change the overall appearance of the desktop app by switching between light and dark mode, or allow the Zoom app to follow your system preferences. 

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop app.
  2. Click your profile picture, then click Settings.
  3. In the Appearance section of the General tab, choose from the following options:
    • Light: Use the default, brighter theme.
    • Dark: Use the darker theme.
    • Use System Settings: Follow the system settings for light or dark theme.

Change the app theme

Users can also change the app appearance by changing the color theme of the app, adding a bit more visual flair to their view of the Zoom app. 

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop app.
  2. Click your profile picture, then click Settings.
  3. In the Theme section of the General tab, choose from the following options:
    • Classic: The classic light theme. 
    • Bloom: A blue color scheme for the desktop app. 
    • Agave: A green color scheme for the desktop app. 
    • Rose: A red color scheme for the desktop app. 
      Note: These themes are only supported when using the Light appearance.
