Zoom Events hosts can create a direct join link for speakers. The direct join link allows speakers to quickly join a session on the Zoom desktop client, even when they are not signed in, with any credentials.

Hosts can create direct join links for speakers 30 days before an event starts. The direct join link is intended to provide a significant amount of lead time for hosts and speakers to rehearse ahead of an event. The Direct join link for Speakers cannot be created or sent until 30 days before the event.

Note: The 30-day timeframe is based on the event start time.

This feature also allows event hosts to help speakers bypass issues they may experience while joining an event. This deals with situations in which a speaker finds out that they cannot join an event when their assigned session is about to start. They could be prevented from the event for various reasons, such as using a different account on the Zoom desktop client, forgetting their login information, or their ticket being registered by the wrong account.

The link will be sent to your email along with a verification code. You can use the link and the verification code to join the target session on your Zoom desktop client.

Prerequisites for joining a Zoom Event with the direct join link for speakers

• Zoom desktop client for Windows, macOS, or Linux: Global minimum version or higher
• Basic, Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Education account
• Speaker role assigned

How to join a Zoom Event with a direct join link for speakers

1. Sign in to your email account.
2. In your inbox, find and open the Zoom Event session invitation email.
   Your email will include the session details, event ticket, and a verification code.
3. Click Join Session.
   Note: The direct join link is automatically connected with a session that the host has assigned to you. When you click the direct join link, you will be directed to your target session (after verification).
   An Enter Verification Code page will be displayed.
4. On the Enter Verification Code page, enter your verification code from your invitation email in the text box.
5. Click Join.
   Note: By joining this event, you agree to Zoom's Event Participant Terms of Use and the Zoom Events Privacy Statement.
   You will immediately join the Zoom Event session on your desktop client.
