Using a waiting room with Zoom Rooms
The waiting room feature allows the host to control when a participant joins the meeting. As the meeting host, you can admit attendees one by one or all at once.
Requirements for using a waiting room with Zoom Rooms
How to enable or disable waiting room during a Zoom Rooms meeting
- As the meeting host, tap Participants.
- Tap More at the bottom of the participants' window, then press and hold a finger to the controller screen to scroll through the options. Find Enable Waiting Room and tap it.
- To disable the feature, tap More again and then tap Disable Waiting Room.
How to admit participants during a Zoom Rooms meeting
- As the meeting host, tap Participants.
- Tap Admit to have the participant join the meeting.
How to admit all participants from the waiting room during a Zoom Rooms meeting
- As the meeting host, tap Participants.
- Tap Admit all.
How to send participants to the waiting room during a Zoom Rooms meeting
- As the meeting host, tap Participants.
- Tap the participant's name, then press and hold a finger to the controller screen to scroll through the options. Find Put in Waiting Room and tap it.
How to customize the waiting room for a Zoom Rooms meeting
Zoom Rooms version 6.6.0 or higher allows hosts and participants to fully utilize customization options.
- If a remote participant joins a meeting hosted in a Zoom Room, they will experience the waiting room settings configured by the host.
- If a Zoom Room joins a meeting as a participant, in-room users will experience the waiting room settings configured by the host.
