Managing the single-session lite In-session Branding section


The In-session Branding feature allows hosts full control over the session’s appearance, including how the panelists are displayed to attendees and applies branding at the event level. Hosts can customize what an attendee sees by uploading a wallpaper, setting the virtual background, and applying name tags to panelists.

How to access the single-session lite In-session Branding section

  1. Create a single-session lite event or edit an upcoming event to access the event setup.
  2. In the left navigation menu, click In-Session, then click In-session Branding.

How to manage the single-session lite In-session Branding section

  1. Access the single-session lite In-session Branding section.
  2. (Optional) Use Production Studio to customize layouts, add borders to videos, adjust the video aspect ratio, and use multiple wallpapers within a session. Learn more about Production Studio.
  3. Under Webinar In-session Branding, set the style for each special role at the session level and how they appear in any of the webinar sessions they join in the event:
    • Webinar Wallpaper: Your wallpaper is displayed behind video tiles and shared content for this session only.
      1. Under Webinar Wallpaper, click the upload button to use the content library tool to select an existing image, use Zoom AI image generation, or upload a new image for the webinar wallpaper.
        Note: Use JPG/JPEG/PNG files only. The recommended image dimensions are 1920x1080 pixels. The maximum image size is 15 MB.
      2. Hover your mouse over the uploaded webinar wallpaper, then click the pencil icon .
        A pop-up window will appear.
        1. In the window, use the following actions:
          1. Click + Upload Wallpaper to use the content library tool to select an existing image, use Zoom AI image generation, or upload a new image for the webinar wallpaper.
          2. Select an existing wallpaper to use.
          3. Click Done.
    • Virtual Background: Upload a default virtual background for all hosts, alternative hosts, interpreters, moderators, and speakers.
      1. Under Virtual Background, click the upload button  to use the content library tool to select an existing image, use Zoom AI image generation, or upload a new image for the virtual background.
      2. (Optional) Under Virtual Background, hover your mouse over the image tile and click the  icon to delete the background. If a confirmation window appears, click Delete to confirm.
      3. Under Virtual Background, click Manage virtual background to Choose Files to upload or select a default background. You can view uploaded backgrounds in the list or tile view.
        Note: Use JPG/JPEG/PNG files only. The recommended image dimensions are 1920x1080 pixels. The maximum image size is 15 MB.
      4. (Optional) Hover your mouse over a virtual background, then click Make Default.
        If a confirmation window appears, select from the following:
        1. (Optional) Select the Set this new default for all, including those not currently assigned the default checkbox.
        2. Click Save.
      5. Click Preview Virtual Background to view how your wallpaper appears.
    • Name Tag Design: All hosts, alternative hosts, interpreters, panelists, and speakers will have an event-wide default name tag design. and assign a different virtual background.
      • Create a new name tag template:
        1. Click + Create New to create a new name tag design.
          A pop-up window will appear.
        2. In the window, enter a Template Name.
        3. Select the Text ColorBackground Color, and Accent Color, using the preset color palettes or customizing your color palette.
          The name tag template preview will appear on the left side of the window.
        4. Click Save.
      • Manage name tags:
        1. Click Manage name tags to update the name tag text and template.
          A pop-up window will appear.
        2. In the window, to the right of a name tag template you created, click the ellipsis , then choose from the following actions:
          • Edit: Edit the name tag template, then click Save.
          • Delete: Remove the name tag template. If a confirmation window appears, click Delete.
            Note: The name tag will be removed from this event. Users with this name tag will be changed to the default style.
        3. (Optional) In the top-right corner of the window, click + Add to add a new name tag template.
        4. Click Close to exit the pop-up window.
        5. (Optional) In the In-session Branding tab, hover your mouse over a name tag template, then click Make Default.
          If a confirmation window appears, select from the following:
          1. (Optional) Select the Set this new default for all, including those not currently assigned the default checkbox.
          2. Click Save.
  4. Click Customize In-session Appearance to view how all roles will appear when they join.
    • At the top of the preview Customize In-session Appearance window, switch between the tile view or list view by clicking the list to thumbnail icon .
    • Manage in-session appearances by using the tile view:
      1. On a tile, click the pencil icon  to update the name tag text and template, and assign a different virtual background.
      2. Enter the panelist’s information into the NameDescription, and Pronouns fields.
        The entered information will appear in the left preview window.
      3. Choose a name tag design that you created to display in the preview window.
      4. Under Virtual Background, select an uploaded virtual background to display in the preview window.
      5. (Optional) + Add more branding: Click + Add more branding to add a new virtual background or add a new name tag template.
        • Add New Virtual Background: Select a virtual background to upload and add from your computer.
        • Add New Name Tag Template: In the Add Name Tag Template window, customize your name tag template. Changes are previewed live in the left preview panel.
          Note: You can create up to 20 name tags.
          1. Enter the Template Name in the text box.
          2. Select the Text Color.
          3. Select the Background Color.
          4. Select the Accent Color.
          5. Click Save.
      6. When you’re finished customizing in-session elements, click Save.
    • Manage in-session appearances by using the list view:
      1. Enter the host or panelist’s information into the Host and Panelist and Description fields.
      2. Under Virtual Background, click the dropdown menu, then select the virtual background you want to use.
      3. Under Name Tag, click the dropdown menu, then select the name tag template you want to use.
      4. Under View, click Preview to preview your customized in-session appearance.
      5. (Optional) + Add more branding: Click + Add more branding to add a new virtual background or add a new name tag template.
        • Add New Virtual Background: Select a virtual background to upload and add from your computer.
        • Add New Name Tag Template: In the Add Name Tag Template window, customize your name tag template. Changes are previewed live in the left preview panel.

          1. Enter the Template Name in the text box.
          2. Select the Text Color.
          3. Select the Background Color.

      6. When you’re finished customizing in-session elements, click Done.
