Enabling call authentication for Zoom numbers

The call authentication integration feature enables customers to support TransUnion’s or First Orion's Spoof Call Protection and Branded Calling features.

Note: Phone numbers must also be configured in TransUnion’s or First Orion's portal.

How to enable branded calling authentication for Zoom numbers

Enable branded calling authentication for a single Zoom number

TransUnion

Enable TransUnion branded authentication for a single Zoom number

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Number Management and then Phone Numbers.
  3. Click a number you want to manage.
  4. In the Capabilities section, to the right of Call Authentication, click the dropdown and select TransUnion.
  5. Click Save.
    The branded calling authentication will be configured.

Enabling will send outbound call information to the branded calling provider. They must be configured in their portal, or the service will not work. Enabled numbers will have a black shield icon on the Number Management page.

First Orion

Enable First Orion branded authentication for a single Zoom number

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Number Management and then Phone Numbers.
  3. Click a number you want to manage.
  4. In the Capabilities section, to the right of Call Authentication, click the dropdown and select First Orion.
    A pop-up window will appear.
  5. In the pop-up window, complete the following actions:
    1. (Optional) Add a vendor if no businesses have been synced yet.
    2. Select the target program and apply the related configuration to the selected numbers.
    3. Click Confirm.
  6. Click Confirm.
    The branded calling authentication will be configured.

TransUnion
  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Number Management and then Phone Numbers.
  3. Select the checkboxes of the phone numbers you want to manage.
  4. At the top of the page, click the Call Authentication dropdown and select TransUnion.
  5. In the pop-up window, click Confirm.
    The branded calling authentication will be configured.

Enabling will send outbound call information to the branded calling provider. They must be configured in their portal, or the service will not work. Enabled numbers will have a black shield icon on the Number Management page.

First Orion
  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Number Management and then Phone Numbers.
  3. Select the checkboxes of the phone numbers you want to manage.
  4. At the top of the page, click the Call Authentication dropdown and select First Orion.
    A pop-up window will appear.
  5. In the window, select the target program and apply the related configuration (call purpose) to the selected numbers.
    Note: You can add a vendor if no businesses have been synced yet.
  6. Click Confirm.
    The branded calling authentication will be configured.

How to access the Branded Calling Authentication section

You can manage and maintain branded calling information for numbers through the vendor's API.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Number Management and then Phone Numbers.
  3. At the top of the page, click Related features, then click Branded calling authentication.
    You will be directed to the Branded Calling Authentication page, where you can manage and maintain branded calling information for numbers through the vendor's API.

How to add a vendor in the Branded Calling Authentication section

  1. Access the Branded Calling Authentication page.
  2. In the top-right corner, click + Add a vendor.
    A pop-up window will appear.
  3. In the window, add the vendor's info to sync the branded calling info:
  4. Click Add.
    The vendor will be added to the Branded Calling Authentication page.
  5. Click Sync to enable the vendor to be available for selection.

Check vendors' business information

After adding a vendor, you can check their business information.

  1. Access the Branded Calling Authentication page.
  2. Click the Business name of a vendor you want to manage.
    A pop-up window will appear.
  3. In the window's navigation menu, click the tabs under Business units to view more details about the programs and call purposes.

Zoom provides these integrations free of charge; however, customers must have a commercial relationship with TransUnion or First Orion to utilize this feature.
